Our experimental outdoor venue “The Mausoleum” features three works by Wisconsin native Keith Nelson in a show titled Sammansättning (Swedish for 'composition'). Two are sculptures made of scavenged wood and marble from the streets of Bushwick and Greenpoint, Brooklyn, while a third totemic figure is built from ceramic tops of toilet tanks. Nelson's dirty brand of minimalism re-purposes disposable products into a poetic tableaux of everyday elegance. Nelson's work is currently on view at The Museum of Wisconsin Art in West Bend, Wisconsin and featured recently at the Haggerty Museum of Art in Milwaukee.
